Neurotoxin

    • Avoid alcohol and NSAIDS (ibuprofen and aspirin) for 24 hours prior to your appointment to decrease the risk of bruising.

    • Plan to do any strenuous exercise on the day of your appointment before your scheduled appointment.

    • Plan your day accordingly to stay upright for 4 hours after injections.

    • Please do not pursue this treatment if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or suffer from neurologic disorders.

    • Please plan to stay upright for 4 hours following your appointment to avoid product movement into neighboring muscles.

    • Please avoid touching, rubbing, or putting pressure on the treated areas for 12 hours following your appointment, as this can cause product movement into neighboring muscles.

    • Avoid wearing hats and sunglasses for 12 hours post-procedure.

    • It is not uncommon to have a headache, some swelling, and/or bruising afterward. Please take Tylenol as needed.

    • Avoid aerobic and strenuous exercise for 24 hours to reduce bruising.

    • Avoid anything with high heat (saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms) for 24 hours following the procedure. Heat can break down the product before it integrates into the muscle.

    • It takes 10-14 days for your injections to take full effect. Please wait the full 14 days before assessing if you are pleased with the results.

    • If you experience any asymmetry after 14 days, Teo Aesthetics is happy to provide a complimentary refinement to your treatment. Please schedule a follow-up appointment no later than 3 weeks after your initial treatment.

Kybella

    • Please schedule your treatment at least 4 weeks in advance of any important events as there is a large amount of expected swelling.

    • Avoid the use of Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, Ginkgo Biloba, Garlic Supplements, Green Tea, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamins A and E, Omega-3, fish oil for up to 1 week before and after your treatment as they will increase your risk of bruising.

    • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, niacin supplement, high-sodium foods, high-sugar foods, refined carbohydrates, and spicy foods 24-48 hours before and after your treatment. These items may contribute to increased swelling or irritation.

    • You may take Arnica tablets 2-3 days before and after your treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.

    • Do not apply products that are potentially irritating for 1-2 days before and after treatment (examples- tretinoin/Retin-A, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone).

    • If you develop a cold, flu, cold sore, or rash in the area to be treated prior to your appointment, please reschedule your appointment until after it resolves.

    • We will not perform Kybella if you are under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding, have a history of dysphagia (trouble swallowing), or have any open wounds or lesions on the area.

    • You may experience moderate tenderness or stinging during your treatment. A topical numbing cream will be applied, along with ice, prior to beginning.

    • Ice on and off, as needed the day of treatment.

    • You may take Acetaminophen, or Tylenol if you experience any mild tenderness or discomfort.

    • Do not massage treated areas after.

    • After treatment there will be swelling and possible bruising. You may apply Arnica Gel or take Arnica tablets to help decrease the amount of bruising and swelling.

    • Sleep on your back with your head elevated for 3-5 days after treatment.

    • Use SPF and avoid sun exposure to areas that have been treated until bruising and swelling have subsided.

    • Avoid strenuous exercise for 3-5 days. You may resume other normal activities/routines immediately.

    • Drink plenty of water and fluids after treatment.

    • Please call Teo Aesthetics immediately if you develop an asymmetric smile, facial muscle weakness, skin ulceration in the treatment area, difficulty swallowing, or if any existing symptoms worsen.

PRF

    • Avoid taking anti-inflammatory medications (like ibuprofen or aspirin) for at least seven days prior to the procedure, as they can affect platelet function.

    • Drink plenty of water the day before the procedure to ensure you are well-hydrated.

    • Eat a regular meal a few hours before the procedure. Avoid fasting.

    • Smoking and drinking should be avoided at least 24 hours before the treatment.

    • If you are sick or have an infection, inform your doctor. Rescheduling the procedure might be best.

    • Limit physical activity and refrain from strenuous exercises for at least 48 hours after the procedure.

    • Continue avoiding anti-inflammatory medications for at least two weeks post-procedure unless directed otherwise by your physician.

    • Use a cold compress on the treated area for 15-20 minutes at a time if you experience swelling or discomfort.

    • Do not use hot tubs and saunas, or take hot baths for at least 48 hours post-procedure.

    • Be sure to attend all follow-up appointments and inform your healthcare professional if you encounter any unusual reactions or symptoms.

Sculptra

    • For about a week prior to treatment, avoid taking aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs like ibuprofen), and certain herbal supplements like fish oil, as they can increase the risk of bruising.

    • Drink plenty of water before your appointment. Hydrated skin can respond better to treatments.

    • Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.

    • If you're on any long-term medications, especially antibiotics, discuss them with your practitioner before the treatment.

    • Ensure your face is clean and free from makeup, lotions, and creams on the day of your treatment.

    • After the treatment, massage the treated areas for five minutes, five times a day, for five days. This helps distribute the product evenly.

    • As with the pre-care, avoid taking aspirin, NSAIDs, and certain herbal supplements for a few days post-treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.

    • Refrain from intense physical activity for 24-48 hours after the treatment to minimize swelling.

    • Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds until any initial swelling and redness have resolved.

    • If you experience swelling, you can briefly apply a cold compress to the treated area. However, avoid pressing too hard.

Dermal Fillers

    • For about a week prior to the procedure, avoid taking aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen, and certain herbal supplements like ginkgo biloba, as they can increase the risk of bruising.

    • To prevent bruising, avoid drinking alcohol at least 24 hours before the procedure.

    • Drink plenty of water the day before your treatment. Hydrated skin can help the filler to settle better.

    • Let your provider know about any allergies, medications, or medical conditions you have. This can help prevent complications.

    • Sunburned or irritated skin cannot be treated, so avoid excessive sun or tanning bed exposure before your appointment.

    • For the first 24 hours, try not to touch or massage the treated area unless instructed by your provider. This helps the filler to settle properly.

    • Post-procedure, refrain from intense physical activities for 24-48 hours to reduce the risk of swelling and bruising.

    • Stay away from saunas, hot tubs, or any intense heat sources for at least 24 hours post-treatment.

    • Drink plenty of water post-treatment. This can help the filler integrate into the tissue.

    • While rare, complications can occur. Contact your provider immediately if you notice unusual pain, swelling, discoloration, or any signs of infection.
